Transactional Finance Analyst

You will work for a very well established international, high growth, and thriving Media Publishing business, headquartered in the heart of central London. It's a really exciting time to join this company as they have recently made a large acquisition (and are looking at more acquisitional growth!)

Your new role
In this permanent Transactional Finance Analyst job, you will work within a large, stable and friendly finance team, undertaking a range of tasks focusing on Reporting and Reconciliation. This will include (but not be limited to):

  • Preparation of cashflow forecast for UK and Australia (monthly)
  • Preparation of budget & forecast cashflows (UK and Australia)
  • Weekly forecast of Group cash position
  • Monthly AR and AP reconciliations
  • Reconciliation of petty cash (monthly)
  • Debtor account reconciliation
  • Reconciliation of VAT returns (quarterly)
  • Assisting with and providing cover for AR/AP team as required
  • Ongoing streamlining, improvement and implementation of processes/procedures

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need a strong background in Transactional Accounting - end to end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. You'll evidence strong skills in Reconciliation and Reporting (intermediate Excel inclusive of VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables is a must), with excellent analytical capabilities and a flair for problem-solving. To be a great fit for this business you will be hardworking, friendly and ambitious, with great communication skills; a motivated and proactive person who is deadline conscious. Knowledge of VAT is highly desirable, as is prior experience working within the Publishing industry. You'll either already be actively studying towards a professional accounting qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA), or keen to start.
