Adult Social Worker, £33ph, Locality, South Yorkshire
Pertemps are recruiting for qualified and experienced Adult Social Workers to join the adult locality team in south Yorkshire. The role is part of a focused project team helping to ensure service users are assessed/ review in a timely manner, that safeguarding concerns progress within timescale, and support secured with the minimum delay. The postholder will be responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned cases, intervening with legal and procedural authority, including under making safeguarding personal principals to protect vulnerable people at risk of abuse or neglect. Experience of working within safeguarding policy and procedures is paramount, as well as having an understanding of the legal remit of safeguarding under the Care Act, and being able to carry out Section 42 enquiries.

Requirements:
- Experience working with older adults and/ or adults experiencing the impact of physical, or cognitive, or learning disabilities
- Experience of working in community based/ locality based adult social worker teams
- Experience of undertaking care Act assessment, support planning, Mental Capacity Assessments and making best interests decisions where needed and able to work at pace.
- SWE registered
- Able to travel independently to and around the Borough to undertake home visits
There is the opportunity for hybrid working (a mix of home and office based working).
