Our client had an exciting opportunity for a stand-alone Financial Controller to join the team!
Location: Oxfordshire
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 Per Annum + Excellent Benefits
Report to: Deputy Chief Financial Officer

Financial Controller - Key Responsibilities:
- Compilation of monthly management accounts
- Generation of financial management reports, encompassing financial planning and forecasting
- Execution of quarter end reporting, inclusive of board, regulatory, and group reporting outputs, along with concise analytics aimed at presenting to the Executive Team and Board
- Oversight of year end reporting, involving timely inputs to the group reporting process, as well as the coordination of information delivery to auditors for statutory reporting outputs
- Preparation of annual accounts, ensuring full adherence to UKGAAP, and management of relationships with external accountants
- Accountability for balance sheet reporting to the board
- Submission of VAT filings
- Supervision of control account reconciliations and journal entries
- Assistance with annual business plans and business development projects
- Negotiation of terms with suppliers
- Management of income and expenditure control
- Contribution to the creation of business strategies aimed at enhancing shareholder value
- Involvement in projects - Providing support for, and leading as necessary, team and group-wide projects that align with the strategic direction of the finance function
Financial Controller – You:
Essential requirements:
- Holder of a fully accredited ACCA qualification with 3-5 years of experience
- Demonstrates personal responsibility for producing high-quality outcomes and meeting deadlines promptly
- Initiates action independently and is open to acquiring new skills and embracing fresh challenges
- Possesses business insight and the capacity to question trends and establish projections
- Capable of collaborating effectively in a team environment by motivating, exchanging, and considering ideas
- Exhibits strong organisational abilities with a knack for prioritising tasks and managing expectations
- Shows a proactive approach to solving problems, unafraid to question and deliver valuable results
- Proficient in IT and analytical skills (Proficiency in Word, Excel, and experience with systems is advantageous)
Desirable Requirements:
- Prior experience in managing assets is advantageous, but not mandatory
- Desirable to have technical and regulatory expertise
