Management Accountant

Adele Carr Recruitment is delighted to be supporting the recruitment needs of a growing, SME organisation on the Wirral, who are keen to appoint a newly qualified, Management Accountant, on a full time, permanent basis.

This is a newly created role within the finance team, bringing much needed support to the Finance Director and wider business.

The successful new appointment will have a proven background in accounts with experience of working within a fast-paced environment. You will be fully qualified, (ACA / CIMA / ACCA), and seeking a role with a level of autonomy. You will be confident in your ability to work with various stakeholders Group.

Excitingly, the client is succession planning and therefore, is seeking an ambitious individual with the all-round skill set, who will grow with the business and enhance their skillset.

Part of a larger organisation, you will provide daily direction and support to the transactions team, whilst producing weekly financial analysis / KPI reports to Group. On a ad hoc basis, you will be involved in various projects and take a lead in pushing process improvements.

The ideal applicant will be a hardworking, self-motivated individual who can produce management accounts with variance analysis and accurate cash-flow forecasts to Group.

Attitude is key, along with a good understanding of financial analysis and reporting, ERP, MS Excel, Power BI would be beneficial, although all training will be provided.

The new Management Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Finance Director and senior stakeholders with financial reporting and analysis.
  • Ensure month end management accounts and reports are produced accurately and on time.
  • Month end journals, accruals, prepayments.
  • Balance sheet reconciliation
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting.
  • Monitor and review overhead expenditure and projects.
  • Treasury, cash management, cash flow reporting
  • Manage ad hoc reports, projects, data analysis, continuous improvement of processes.
  • Assist with year-end accounts and liaise with auditors to ensure satisfactory completion of audit.
  • Responsible for all tax including year-end tax, corporation tax, quarterly VAT returns.

  • A team player who is able to work with individuals across the business and liaise with external customers, suppliers, and contacts.
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, ERP.
