Description

  • Processing payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assisting with accounts payable and receivable tasks.
  • Reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.
  • Maintaining payroll information by collating, calculating, and entering data.
  • Preparing reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, and non-taxable wages.
  • Determining payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income, social security taxes, and employer's social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments.
  • Resolving payroll discrepancies by collecting and analysing information.
  • Providing payroll information by answering questions and requests.

Profile

A successful Payroll/Accounts Assistant should have:

  • A solid understanding of payroll and accounts procedures.
  • High level of numeracy and an attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accountancy software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
  • A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
