Leaving care worker - Hybrid working

Salary up to £18 per hour

NonStop Social Care is looking for a leaving care worker for an Outstanding Charity in Lincolnshire. This is a young people intervention service that works with trauma-informed, therapeutic approach.

The role will be remote hybrid working, holding a caseload of young people in Lincolnshire area. You will have to travel regularly to see the young people and to support their emotional health and wellbeing of care experienced young people, for example: supporting them to attend appointments, manage their home - work often referred to as 'hand holding'.

This is a temporary contract until end of March 2025 with possibility of extension. This is for a well-known charity that provides family intervention trauma-informed therapeutic services to children and young people.

Responsibilities

The leaving care worker will work in partnership with other services including housing, substance use and mental health to support young people.

You will support young people with complex needs on their daily life and empower them to Independence and support their happy, safe living.

Requirements

Please apply if:

  • you have experience working with young people
  • you have knowledge around young people who are leaving the care system
  • you live in one of the following locations or within reasonable travelling distance: Louth, Lincoln, Sleaford and Peterborough
