General Manager - Visitor Attraction, £45,000
Location; Oxford
I am currently recruiting a General Manager to for a Visitor Attraction in Oxford you will be working closely with all departments at this lovely attraction. The successful candidate will be logical and diligent, someone who thrives in a busy environment, you must display your leadership skills and attention to detail. You must have extensive General Management knowledge and experience of working in the leisure/ Visitor Attraction sector, a positive attitude, and a personality to fit in with the culture is equally important.
The role:
- Delivery of high levels of customer service.
- Compliant delivery of working in line with the license.
- Team communication at all levels including holding regular meetings & performance reviews.
- Cross departmental communication, to ensure integrated running of the operation.
- To deliver full compliance concerning ride and attraction operations including training, record keeping, auditing and daily ride checks.
- Provide overall leadership to the operational team, ensure a highly motivated team that are trained and coached to deliver their individual roles.
- Close working relationship with departmental Managers including Technical, Food & Beverage, Retail, Events organisation and all other aspect needed to run a successful business.
- Ensure the business is compliant with regard to regulations i.e. First Aid, Fire Regulations, H&S, Etc.
Essential Experience:
- Visitor Attraction, experience essential.
- Experience in a B2C environment.
- Determination to protect the brand at all times and act as a business ambassador.
- A natural flair for building relationships.
- Instinct for commercial awareness.
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working with management across all levels and disciplines.
- High degree of self-motivation and capable of working under pressure when necessary
