HR Manager/Head of People

We are excited to be working with a fantastic company who are going through continued growth and therefore looking for an HR Manager/ Head of People to join their long standing team and support the Director of People and Head of HR & Payroll. This is an excellent opportunity to grow with the business.

The role will be developing policies and strategies to align with the business objectives as well as delivering a positive organisational culture, championing employee engagement and supporting the people function.

Duties include:

  • Leading on employee relations including disciplinaries, and grievances to ensure fair representation.
  • Developing and implementing employee relation strategies and policies, ensuring that programs align with values and objectives of the business.
  • Ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations and stay up to date with HR law.
  • Driving operational delivery of performance management systems and processes including setting goals and evaluating performance, career development initiatives.
  • Providing guidance and coaching while supporting the HR team to ensure high performance.
  • Working with the Head of HR on talent and recruitment planning and leading the sourcing, selection and onboarding of new employees.
  • Attracting and retaining top talent.
  • Implementing learning and development initiative, developing middle management as well as succession planning.
  • Leading on DNI initiatives to create a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum CIPD Level 5 or looking to study CIPD
  • Management experience as there will be members of the HR team reporting directly into you
  • Strong experience with Employee Relations - dealing with complex cases start to finish
  • Previous HR experience within a similar role

  • This role is office based but there is the flexibility for 1 day per week at home
