Police Staff Investigator PIP Level 1 & 2
- Location: Basingstoke
- Salary: Scale 6 (PIP1) £15.68 per hour PAYE / SO1 (PIP2) £17.58 per hour PAYE
- Job Type: Temporary (up to 12 months), Part-Time or Full-Time (37 hours per week)
Are you ready to contribute to making Hampshire and Isle of Wight safer? We are seeking experienced Police Staff Investigators to support our front-line officers in a range of investigative activities. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of our criminal investigations.
Day to day of the role:
- Taking statements, securing and reviewing CCTV footage, and conducting suspect interviews.
- Handling Offences Taken into Consideration (TIC's), intelligence interviews, and file building including disclosure declarations.
- Working as a supportive team member within the area Criminal Investigation Departments.
- Collaborating with current investigators in dealing with Serious and Complex crimes.
- This is a non-case-holding role, providing essential support to the investigative process.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- PIP 1 or 2 accreditation or equivalent investigatory experience.
- Proven experience within an investigatory role, ideally with knowledge of Criminal Law and Criminal Justice procedures.
- Ability to travel to various locations as required.
- This role is ideal for experienced Detectives, Police Constables, Sergeants, Inspectors, Police Staff Investigators, or Civilian Investigators seeking to utilise their skills and experience.
