We are looking for an enthusiastic, suitably qualified and experienced individual to teach on either of the following programmes:
-Electrical Installation -Electrical Maintenance
You will be required to teach on full-time Level 2 and T Level in Building Services Engineering Level 3, part-time diplomas and Level 3 Standards for Apprenticeship programmes.
You will need to demonstrate an understanding and sensitivity towards a variety of learner needs and support the delivery team with a range of innovative teaching approaches to enable learners to reach their full potential.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- To teach on full-time Level 2 and T Level in Building Services Engineering Level 3, part-time diplomas and Level 3 Standards for Apprenticeship programmes.
- Engage in core duties including preparation, marking, monitoring student progress, preparing reports, setting and marking of internal and external exams, developing and preparing flexible learning materials.
- To play a full part in the organisational and developmental work of the Department and Faculty including assistance with quality assurance systems.
- To be involved, as necessary, in marketing of the College, Faculty and Department and play an active role in activities such as open days and through liaison with local and national employers.
- To be involved in a range of Employer Engagement activities.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Has qualifications at Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant Construction discipline, and/or has recent and relevant industrial experience in related topics.
- Has relevant experience in teaching/training and skills development.
- Has /holds the relevant industry standard certificates (JIB Gold Card/ AM2) would be desirable.
- Has or is willing to study for a relevant teaching qualification (DTLLS, PGCE or equivalent).
- Has industry experience, with current knowledge and the ability to deliver to industry standard.
- Is well organised and able to manage the peaks and troughs of a varied workload.
