Job description – Operations Manager

In this Operations Manager, you will heading up the Girls Super League, which is London's fastest-growing grassroots girl's league, creating a safe fun and supportive environment, making competitive football accessible to as many girls as possible.

As Operations Manager you will be responsible for the daily operations of the league across all three sites and the strategy for shaping the league's long-term growth. This role will be accountable for ensuring the success of the league in terms of participation, social impact and financial sustainability.

Key responsibilities – Operations Manager

In this Operations Manager role in London, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the league's calendar fixtures, including referee assignments and allocation of pitch space
  • Fostering relationships with key stakeholders, maintaining regular correspondence with club leads, venue managers, and county FA colleagues
  • Ensuring correct governance of the league (compliance with FA rules & guidelines, implementation of disciplinary procedures and safeguarding policies)
  • Line manages the full-time league coordinator and part-time league assistants
  • Developing and executing short and long-term growth strategy for the league
  • Overseeing league finances, producing budgets and raising invoices
  • Working alongside the fundraising team to secure partnerships/sponsorships
  • Working alongside the marketing team to develop an effective marketing strategy

*** Please note this work requires a flexible working pattern, with the ability to work on weekends and evenings as needed ***

Job requirements – Operations Manager

  • A 2.1 or above from a top-ranked university
  • A right to work in the UK
  • 1 year + relevant commercial experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Attention to detail and highly organised
  • An excellent team player, with an ability to work on your own initiative
