Lead Process Engineer - Chard, Somerset - £45,000 to £50,000 plus benefits, up to 10% bonus and a leading pension scheme

Melbreck Technical are working with a world leading designer and manufacturer of special purpose equipment that is used in multiple industries.

Due to planned growth within their technical manufacturing team, they are looking to hire a Lead Process Engineer to join them ASAP.

Lead Process Engineer - Job Role:

To optimise manufacturing process capabilities for all manufacturing processes associated with both legacy and new product introduction.

To lead the Process Engineering Teamand manage workloads and priorities through the department and site.

Lead Process Engineer - Responsibilities:

Ensure that any health and safety guidelines are followed in accordance with the organisational arrangements roles and responsibilities.

Lead the Process Engineering team, utilizing the strategy deployment process.

Continuously improve the manufacturing process capability control infrastructure..

Continuously improve manufacturing process capability delivery including cycle time reduction, set-up time reduction, tooling cost per piece reduction and defect elimination.

Execute lean process.

Provide Process Engineering expertise to New Product Introduction projects.

Project management of new product introduction projects.

Maintain awareness of emerging manufacturing technologies and methodologies that can advantageously be incorporated into the Process Engineering domain.

Ensure the optimization of capital plant acquisition and utilization to maximize return on asset in line with the ACIP.

Work closely with EHS Manager to ensure legal requirements are met.

Lead Process Engineer- Candidate Requirements:

General level EHS & Risk Assessment - IOSH accreditation (or similar)

Degree level in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.

5 Years minimum engineering experience in a professional role with proven results

Experienced in operating within a certified manufacturing environment e.g., ISO9001, AS9100.

Qualified in continuous improvement e.g., Lean-Sigma Green Belt

Production Manager - Hours and Benefits:

37.5 hours Monday to Friday with Friday being a half day

Up 10% Bonus

25 Days holiday plus bank holidays

Industry Leading pension scheme paying up to 15%
