Up to £45,000 +25% bonus + accommodation

Hastings, East Sussex

We are looking for a Head of Leisure position at one of the largest leisure, entertainment and hospitality venues in the south of England, based in Hastings East Sussex.

As Head of Leisure, you will be responsible for a team of over 60 full and part time staff and have a team of 4 direct reports. You will be responsible for a huge range of attractions and experiences including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a large multi -faceted outdoor activity area which includes climbing walls, high ropes, mini golf, archery, karts and an extensive play area along with several hospitality outlets. You will also take responsibility for managing the highly acclaimed entertainment program that runs throughout the week including live bands, comedians, family shows and a comprehensive kid's program. You will also oversee a retail shop, a souvenir outlet, a creative arts studio and a very popular gaming arena.

Given the wide range of departments to manage we are looking for an inspirational leader and coach who can demonstrate a proven track record managing a complex multi revenue leisure operation. We are looking for candidate who have demonstrate exceptional planning and programming skills, are relentless in delivering operational excellence and achieve the highest levels of health and safety. You will need the commercial ability to identify and optimise revenue generating opportunities to drive revenue and manage your costs. As one of the most senior managers in the business you will gain exposure to the wider operation and work closely with the other key departments to deliver the consistency of operational and service excellence that the business is renowned for delivering.

You will need a take a flexible approach to your working week, which is a 40-hour contract, working 5 days out of 7. You will manage your own rota and be expected to work a combination of shifts including some evenings and weekends especially in peak season.

To be considered you will already be working as a senior manager within the leisure, recreation, entertainment, travel or hospitality industry and will have experience in managing a large multi-faceted commercial operation possibly as a General Manager, Centre Manager or Club Manager.

If planning to relocate, accommodation could be provided for up to your first year.
