Purchasing Manager
Up to £45,000
Monday – Friday – 40 hours per week
OA Group are working exclusively on recruiting a Purchasing Manager with a growing metal manufacturing business based in West Essex that operate within the automotive and aerospace sectors.
As Purchasing Manager, you would have responsibility for all spend within this operation including direct (manufacturing) and indirect (services) as well as ensuring the supply chain is maximised.
Key duties of a Purchasing Manager:
- Supply Chain Management
- Issuing of Purchase Orders & cross checking delivers
- Updating and managing ERP and MRP systems.
- Procurement budget management and reporting to senior leadership teams.
- Negotiation and management of key suppliers in the UK and abroad.
Ideal candidates will have worked as a as a Purchasing Manager or a Buyer and also have sound knowledge of Supply Chain management. You should also be:
- CIPS or MCIPS certificated or similar a member.
- Able to use MRP & ERP systems
- Degree level qualified in relevant are a such as business, finance or supply chain management.
- Experienced in leading purchasing/supply chain teams.
- Confident communicator and presenter.
- A strong negotiator, able to achieve cost and lead time reductions.
A sound understanding of the automotive and aerospace sectors with knowledge of low-mid volume production supply chain requirements would be of benefit.
