Credit Controller

Our client is seeking an experienced Credit Controller who is ambitious, and hard working as well as having a keen eye for detail, with a sound understanding of basic accounting principles, financial statements, and credit terms.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Monitoring and Managing Accounts
- Collections and Payment Processing
- Record Keeping and Compliance
- Collaboration and Process Improvement.
Key Skills, Behaviours, Competencies, and Experience Required:
- Understanding basic accounting principles, financial statements, and credit terms.
- A keen eye for spotting discrepancies and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Positive, effective, and helpful interaction with students/customers, colleagues, and debtors.
- Support alternative payment plans or terms for overdue accounts.
- Identify and resolve root causes of payment delays.
- Prioritise tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets, and relevant programs.
- Analyse financial statements, credit reports, and payment histories.
- Maintain positive relationships with students/customers.
- Handle overdue payments and difficult conversations with professionalism.
- Understand laws and regulations regarding credit and debt collection to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments.
