Senior Manager - Business Tax Team

As a Senior Manager within the business tax team, you will play a pivotal role in a firm experiencing significant growth. Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading or supporting tax and engagement partners in complex tax advisory projects.
- Providing assistance to the business tax team on intricate tax technical queries.
- Managing the compliance and advisory requirements of a portfolio comprising significant clients, within a collaborative team environment.

This role requires a client-facing approach, teamwork, adeptness in junior staff management, and robust technical acumen to provide insightful client advice. Experience in specific tax technical areas or across sectors is highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

- Overseeing various tax advisory projects, including corporate restructuring, research and development tax relief, international tax matters, venture capital tax reliefs, share schemes and valuations, corporate and property transactions, as well as tax sections due diligence reports.
- Reviewing corporate tax compliance, providing guidance on aspects such as loss utilisation and group matters, including adherence to corporate interest restriction rules.
- Conducting tax advisory work stemming from the managed portfolio.
- Facilitating effective communication and support to engagement partners.
- Identifying tax-efficient strategies for clients and collaborating with partners to implement these initiatives.

Requirements:

- Proficiency in tax technical skills and experience in providing client advice.
- Prior experience in client-facing roles.
- Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record in managing junior staff and fostering teamwork.
- Exposure to specific tax technical domains or advisory areas is highly desirable.
