Facilities Officer
- Hourly Rate: £15.69 PAYE

We are currently seeking an experienced Facilities Officer to join our team on a temporary ongoing basis. The main purpose of this role is to ensure that our office estate is safe, secure, and compliant with all statutory obligations, providing a clean and productive workplace for colleagues and customers. The Facilities Officer will be responsible for maintaining the office to an agreed standard and managing all related expenditure effectively.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Demonstrate and promote excellent customer service at all times.
- Track all budget spend for your site/s and handle purchase orders and payments for services.
- Ensure site/s are safe, secure, and compliant, including conducting routine tests and health and safety audits.
- Inform key building/business stakeholders of any issues affecting building operations.
- Manage and maintain the site mailbox and all office signage.
- Manage Fire Wardens, Fire Marshals, and First Aiders to ensure adequate cover within site/s.
- Complete building checks as agreed and resolve issues to a satisfactory completion.
- Maintain site log books and information on the shared drive, including compliance trackers and checklists.
- Report any building or maintenance issues to the relevant person or contractor and monitor to ensure satisfactory completion.
- Facilitate and coordinate third-party contractors on sites and manage supply partners on site visits.
- Manage staff, contractor, and visitor access control permissions, including the production and supply of staff ID passes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Facilities Officer or similar role.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and statutory compliance obligations.
- Ability to track and manage budget spend effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to promote this within the team.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in managing third-party contractors and supply partners.
- Competent in using IT systems to maintain records and produce reports.
