IT Support Analyst – Temporary – Full Time –Belfast £12.12 per hour

REED Technology Belfast are delighted to partner with our client, a charitable organisation who due to increased projects are seeking to recruit a IT Support Analyst to join their team for a period of 3 months initially

The successful will be responsible for assisting organisations staff to effectively use technology by performing workplace support activities, providing training and instruction and acting as the primary support for company in the use of corporate applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the IT Department in the effective management of company corporate content management applications including Eclipse, ExpenseIn and Power BI and provide day-to-day support for staff in using these systems.
  • Control access and monitor systems performance.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the application of these systems.
  • Support the IT Department in the design and implementation of appropriate data structures and information flows e.g. forms, data validation, work flows and reports.
  • Develop and carry out audits on data quality as per the request of the IT Department.
  • Represent the IT Department as a systems specialist in relevant meetings as per the request of the Manager.
  • Assist the IT Department in the effective management of a range of IT systems including corporate database applications, content management systems, and management information systems.
  • Provide first and second line support for corporate applications both remotely and by travelling to other sites.
  • Take ownership of issues, escalate and manage to ensure satisfactory resolution. Maintenance of service desk software.
  • Liaise with external contractors where necessary for the effective management and development of corporate systems.
  • Manage updates and changes to corporate applications.
  • Production of relevant management information.
  • Provide general Service Desk and Desktop support cover.
  • Support the IT Department in the delivery of ICT project implementations, planning and post implementation support.

Essential Criteria

  • A minimum of NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in relevant discipline.
  • 3 years' relevant experience in an IT support or development environment in the following areas:
  • Customer focused with good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity and to observe confidentiality.
  • High levels of organisational skills, ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Willing to train and work with new technologies.
  • Ability to deliver structured training in corporate applications.
  • Willing to work outside normal office hours for example to carry out disruptive maintenance or to participate in an out-of-hours rota to deliver remote support during evenings / weekends / bank holidays.
