Assistant Category Manager

Our client is a highly successful name in the Property Sector.

The Company head office is based at a location in the Centre of Manchester.

Our client is currently looking for an Assistant Category Manager (Hard Services) to join their busy team.

What you will be doing as the Assistant Category Manager:

  • Support the development and execution of annual operations plans (including optimisation plans, mobilisation, cost reduction plans, service improvement plans and Service Partner development / performance management plans).
  • Supplier identification and evaluation - fostering strategic partnerships
  • Contract and cost negotiation
  • Proactively and constructively identify and escalate process improvement opportunities
  • Liaise closely with key stakeholders to ensure Hard Services sourcing methods are aligned
  • Risk management and compliance
  • Creating, Setting and Managing KPI's

What you need to bring:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role - Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Facilities Management or Strategic Sourcing
  • Project management skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Be a team player
  • Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) - Desirable but not required
  • Completely comfortable overseeing tendering processes
