They are seeking a passionate and experienced Locum CWD Social Worker to join our dynamic team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young people.
Job Description:
As a Locum Children with Disabilities (CWD) Social Worker, you will:
Assess Needs: Conduct comprehensive assessments of children with disabilities to determine their needs and develop tailored care plans.
Provide Support: Offer direct support and intervention to children and their families, ensuring their well-being and promoting positive outcomes.
Collaborate: Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including health professionals, educators, and external agencies, to coordinate services and support.
Safeguard: Identify and address safeguarding concerns, ensuring the safety and protection of children at all times.
Review Plans: Regularly review and update care plans to reflect the changing needs and progress of children and young people.
Advocate: Act as an advocate for children with disabilities, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are upheld.
Requirements:
Qualification: Degree in Social Work and current registration with SWE
Experience: Proven experience working with children with disabilities and their families, preferably in a statutory setting.
Skills: Strong assessment, planning, and intervention skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to children with disabilities.
Attributes: Empathy, resilience, and a commitment to improving the lives of children and young people.
