Part-time Cook
Location: Newton Abbot

Salary / Rate: £13.00 per hour
Hours: Monday 6pm-9pm, Friday 6pm-9pm and Sunday 12pm-3pm
Contract: Temporary / Temporary to Permanent for the right candidate!
As an evening and lunchtime cook, you will be responsible for the daily operation of the kitchen, preparing meals for club members, whilst maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, hygiene and compliance.
We are looking for someone who is creative, dependable, and has a strong work ethic.
This is a part-time position, with an average of 9 hours per week to cover. We offer a competitive salary, with the potential for more hours, growth and advancement within the company. This is a temporary role but has the potential to become permanent for the right person.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing meals and cooking food for our client's club members
- Ensuring that all food items are stored, handled, and prepared safely and hygienically and that kitchen and equipment rules and procedures are followed
- Monitoring food quality and keeping track of inventory
- Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen, equipment and utensils
- Other related duties as deemed necessary
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cook or similar role in a catering or food service industry
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques
- Ability to work independently in running a kitchen
- Excellent time management skills
- Self-motivated and passionate about cooking
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
