Team Manager - Financial Services

We are looking for a Team Manager to join an established and reputable Fintech company due to an exciting stage of company growth.

You will be responsible for overseeing a small, dedicated team and ensuring everybody is working towards common objectives, meeting deadlines, and maintaining clear communication channels. This is a people management role that will not include any client facing.

Typical responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team of 6-8 staff
  • Monitoring performance and identifying training needs
  • Setting and measuring clear objectives
  • Overseeing day to day activities
  • Ensuring deadlines are met efficiently
  • Working closely with the Operations Team to improve processes and strategy
  • Working in partnership with the other Team Manager to ensure processes are harmonised

You will be working with a fairly new team who will need quite a bit of support, motivation and training, and backed by an excellent Senior Leadership Team. Each team manages a portfolio of dedicated clients, and each team member is able to carry out every client service, which ensures there are no account management concerns as a result of staff absence.

The ideal person would have previous experience managing teams within Financial Services (any accounting knowledge/background would be highly desirable!), who has excellent Customer Service skills, somebody who has good problem solving skills, and who thrives in a fast paced environment.

This is a hybrid role, working 2 days a week from their office in Bridgend.
