This well-established commercial and civil engineering contractor specialise in the developments of commercial projects across the UK offering a high quality and reputable service. Working with the likes of McDonalds, this company are long standing in the industry and growing due to a strong order book. Now, they are looking for a Buyer to join the team and play a vital part in company success and expansion.
In this role you will be based from the office near Eccles and work closely with the Quantity Surveyor who will provide full on the job training for all aspects of construction buying. You will be responsible for liaising with suppliers, negotiating costs, buying on hire and off hire materials, ensuring all sites are fully stocked, liaising with site managers and ensuring overall cost effectiveness across the business.
To be successful in this role you must have previous buying experience, however this does not need to be within the construction industry. You must be willing to learn, keen to progress and have strong communication. This is an office based role so you must be commutable to the Eccles area.
