Robert Half are delighted to be supporting a business in Gloucester on the recruitment of a Purchase Ledger Clerk, on a full-time and permanent basis. Our client is a market leader in their sector, and pride themselves on the high quality of everything they do.
This hire is a newly created role into their Finance team and is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join an established business and further their career in finance.
Working hours of this position are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm with an hour's lunch break. Our client is fully office based, with plenty of free parking available.
Responsibilities of the Purchase Ledger Clerk will include but not be limited to:
- Managing a high volume of invoices & allocating invoices to different products.
- Working closely with the product department to ensure the smooth and efficient processing of invoices, into different systems.
- Reconciliation of supplier statements, resolving any discrepancies.
- Setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details.
- Handling supplier queries in a timely and professional manner.
Your Profile:
- The ideal candidate will have prior purchase ledger experience or be an AAT studier who is keen to learn and develop.
- Experience working in a high-volume transactional environment.
- System savvy, able to pick up new systems and processes quickly.
- Hard-working and a self-starter, always willing to go above and beyond.
In return, the successful candidate can expect a salary of between £25-27k plus 22 days holiday (+ bank holidays), pension scheme and a generous vehicle scheme.
