Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in schools and will support teachers in delivering high-quality education and care to our pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Classroom Learning: Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
  • Individual and Group Support: Work with individual pupils and small groups to support their learning and development.
  • Behaviour Management: Implement effective behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
  • Resource Preparation: Help prepare classroom materials and resources.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assist in assessing pupils' progress and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Pupil Welfare: Promote the inclusion and welfare of all pupils, ensuring they have equal opportunities to learn.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with teachers, parents, and other staff members regarding pupils' progress and needs.
  • Additional Duties: Support school activities, events, and trips as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience working in a school environment is essential.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Attitude: Positive, patient, and proactive attitude towards working with children.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
  • Commitment: Dedication to promoting the welfare and inclusion of all pupils.
