We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated live-in carer to provide support and assistance to a gentleman who lives alone. The role involves assisting with personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, accompanying to medical appointments and engaging in social activities. The gentleman enjoys good conversation and looks forward to his weekly pub lunch and take away fish and chips each Friday. When out in the community the gentleman requires a wheelchair.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing personalised care and assistance with personal hygiene
- Preparing nutritious meals and ensuring dietary requirements are met
- Keeping the living space clean, tidy and organised through light house keeping tasks
- Accompanying to medical appointments and providing transportation
- Engaging in social activities and providing companionship
- Being a good listener and engaging in conversation
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred
- Excellent communications skills and a compassionate attitude
- Ability to priortise tasks and manage time effectively
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the client's needs
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
