Key Account Manager: Consumer Electronics : South East UK

About the Role

As a Key Account Manager, you will manage a portfolio of Independents and Key Accounts, focusing on growing Major Appliances (Cooling, Laundry, Cooking, and Dish) and SDA categories. Your goal is to meet sales and margin targets while retaining profitable customers and driving year-on-year growth for existing and new accounts.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement long-term business strategies to achieve sales and profit targets.
  • Attend regular face to face meetings with accounts around the Southeast of England
  • Identify new business opportunities and routes to market.
  • Manage partnerships, both current and new, to maximize sales potential.
  • Support sales through promotions, marketing initiatives, and training.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts to assist with stock planning.
  • Present performance results at sales meetings and propose new strategies.
  • Manage pricing, promotions, and budgets to ensure a strong return on investment (ROI).
  • Stay informed about industry trends and identify potential opportunities.
  • Drive brand awareness and deliver customer training.
  • Address aged debt issues and ensure efficient logistics and service solutions.
  • Collaborate with senior management and finance to resolve any payment or credit issues.
  • Attend Head Office in Leeds for sales meetings when required.
  • Other Ad hoc tasks where expected

Requirements

  • Degree-level education.
  • This role will visit customers 3 days a week around Southeast England, so the ideal candidate should be based in Southeast to ensure the travel commitment.
  • 3+ year in a KAM role or field sales with independent account management.
  • Experience managing key accounts, preferably within MDA.
  • Proven track record of meeting KPIs and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency PS skills, including but not limited to Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
  • Full UK Driving Licence required.
