We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants (SEN TAs) to join our highly regarded special school in Leeds. This role is ideal for those passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs, including autism spectrum disorders, physical disabilities, and complex medical needs.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Work closely with teachers to provide tailored educational support to students with special educational needs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Facilitate inclusive activities that encourage students' social and academic growth.
- Monitor and support the well-being and progress of students, adapting approaches as needed to ensure a positive learning environment.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in SEN support.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working with SEN in a similar role or a transferable role is essential.
- Must possess or be willing to obtain a DBS check that is on the update service.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
- Patience, understanding, and a genuine passion for helping children with special educational needs.
