HR Advisor

Overall Objectives

The HR Advisor is a key link between the business and the HR function. As an HR Advisor, you will be an essential member of our HR team, providing guidance and support to both employees and management. Building a close working relationship with the line managers and Employees to become a trusted HR Advisor who can add value to the business. A primary focus will be providing expert guidance on employment law, managing employee relations, supporting all recruitment aspects, implementing policies and providing valuable assistance to the Head of People with various projects and people metrics.

Accountabilities

  • To provide HR advice and support in relation to discipline and grievance, sickness absence, performance management, organisational change and training and development in accordance with the company policies and procedures.
  • Advising and supporting line managers on recruitment and selection ensuring that there is a smooth end to end recruitment process.
  • Supports, challenges and coaches line managers and employees on all HR and people related matters in line with the company policies and procedures to ensure a consistent and fair approach is adopted.
  • Making referrals to Occupational Health and working with managers to ensure all reasonable recommendations are put in place.
  • Support the Head of People within HR systems implementation, including data checking, reviewing system efficiencies, areas for improvement and any training areas.
  • Monitoring, reviewing and updating all HR policies and ensuring these are in line with current legislation.
  • Implements the new starter process (from offer through to onboarding and induction).
  • Works closely with the HR Assistant and Payroll Coordinator to ensure smooth end of end processes are experienced by Line Managers and Employees.
  • Works with the HR Assistant to collate HR and other reports, enabling HR and people decisions to be made within the company.
  • Report, track and analyse the weekly and monthly KPIs including absence, turnover, retention, and headcount.
  • Creating HR related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensuring they are always up to date.
  • Works with the stakeholders in respect of business audits -being the HR lead on audits activity.
