The role:

As an Information Security Specialist, you aim to own the data loss agenda for the business to ensure the security of digital infrastructure and data. Day to day you will work on a mixture of BAU and project work, ensuring the security agenda is pushed out across the company.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Data Loss Prevention (DLP): Experience with implementing and managing DLP solutions to protect sensitive data within an organization.
  • Purview: Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, a data governance platform that helps discover, classify, and manage data across various sources.
  • E-Discovery: Proficiency in e-discovery processes, including legal holds, data preservation, and search capabilities for legal investigations.
  • Holistic Approach to DLP: Understanding of DLP from a comprehensive perspective, considering both technical and organizational aspects.
  • Ownership of Agenda: Ability to take ownership of DLP initiatives, set strategic goals, and drive implementation.
  • End-to-End DLP Management: Managing all aspects of DLP within a business, including policy creation, deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Data Leakage Considerations: Awareness of potential ways data can leak out of an organisation
  • External Data Sharing: Knowledge of secure methods for sharing data externally while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Reporting, Prevention, and Monitoring: Proficiency in generating DLP reports, preventing data breaches, and continuously monitoring data flows.
