Responsibilities of this role:
- Effectively manage a caseload of the most complex and high risk cases, using the signs of safety framework for all social work practice.
- Co-work difficult cases with less experienced social workers, including newly qualified social workers, to ensure quality and consistency of decision making.
- Provide practice teacher support to students on placement. Guide and provide support, assess practice and feedback, so that students can gain the right knowledge and skills for Children's Social Work.
- Lead on social work improvement projects as discussed and agreed with the Service Manager and Senior Fieldwork Manager.
- Build relationships with children, young people, and all key family members as the basis for all support and child protection responses.
Requirements of this role:
- Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
- Must have minimum of 2 years' experience.
