Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Full-time - £83.33-£90 per day - September 2024 start

Tradewind Recruitment are sourcing for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School in Ashford. This is a full-time role to start in September on a temp-to-perm basis and will be working within a dedicated SEN support group. This will be a role that centres on working with pupils with SEN and challenging behaviour. There will be training and additional CPD provided too.

The school is a large multi-form entry Primary in Ashford and is graded GOOD by Ofsted in all areas. The school was observed to have fantastic leadership and wider staff community who strive to ensure all pupils, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds, achieve and succeed. Pupils have also been observed to respect and value staff in the school. This school is very accessible via public transport and driving.

The Role

  • Working as a dedicated SEN TA. This will be primarily supporting multiple children across KS1 and KS2, with diagnosed ASD and other SEN needs.
  • Working on a 1:1 basis providing dedicated support across the whole curriculum.
  • Assessing students' progress and discussing development with Teachers, Parents/Carers, and external agencies if necessary.
  • Undertaking CPD if the role requires it, in which you will be accredited for.

Requirements

  • Experience working as an LSA/SEN Teaching Assistant would be highly desirable.
  • Holding a L2 or L3 Teaching Assistant qualification would be highly desirable but not essential.
  • Experience working with children with SEN within an education, pastoral, or personal setting would be highly desirable
  • Either have, or be willing to get, an enhanced DBS on the update service.
  • Must have right to work in the UK
