One of our most prestigious London Universities are looking for a skilled administrator to join their Clinical & Communications Skills Unit.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Provision of the administrative processes for the teaching programmes delivered by the CCSU.
  • Act as a key contact for all enquiries relating to the activities delivered by the CCSU
  • Managing the flow of information between the Lead for CCSU, Module Leads, Lecturers and Students.
  • Recruitment and liaison with actors for CCSU activities.
  • Ensures the smooth running of the relevant programmes on a day to day basis, including updating all timetables, module documentation and handbooks.
  • Maintain and update student lists as required throughout the academic year.
  • Ensuring all lecture notes, handbooks and learning materials provided by Module Leads are available in a timely manner.
  • Book accommodation for all teaching in line with FMD Room Booking Policy, ensuring all necessary materials and audio-visual equipment are available for sessions.
  • Monitor student attendance in line with FMD Attendance Policy, providing data for Tier 4 reporting as and when required.
  • Act as secretary to meetings as directed by the Clinical Skills Centre Manager, including sending out agenda and associated paperwork, minute taking, distribution and follow-up of action points.
  • Ensure grades and tutor feedback are communicated to students in a timely manner, as detailed in the relevant standard operating procedure.
  • Facilitate evaluation and quality activities, providing support and information as required for the programmes
  • Provide support to the Academic Leads with regards to current and future programme developments.
  • To contribute to the collation of teaching data as required by the University.

  • Experience of working as an administrator in a Higher Education Office environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to establish good working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational skills with ability to prioritise diverse tasks without supervision in order to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively on own and also as part of a team
  • Ability to produce high-quality work with strong attention to detail while under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Educated to A Level (Grade C or above) or equivalent
