Job Duties:
- Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons in Music and Drama
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing feedback for improvement
- Organise and oversee extracurricular activities related to performing arts
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and enhance teaching methods
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS)
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Music or Drama
- Experience teaching Performing Arts subjects at secondary level
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Degree in Music, Drama, or related field
- Demonstrated passion for the performing arts and teaching
- Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Music and Drama
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications or training in Music or Drama education
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Participation in continuing professional development related to performing arts education
