Role Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Tutors to join our team in East London. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of our students. As an SEN Tutor, you will work one-on-one or in small groups with students who have a range of needs, including autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans tailored to each student's specific needs and abilities.
  • Provide engaging and effective tutoring in core subjects such as English, Maths, and Science.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to support student's learning and development.
  • Monitor and record student's progress, providing regular feedback to parents and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to each student's education.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters confidence and independence.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in education or a related field (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN teaching strategies and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
