Home finder Officer

We are seeking a dedicated Home Finder Officer to join my existing client within the Housing team, committed to delivering the highest level of customer care. The successful candidate will manage and process Home seeker applications, internal transfers, and mutual exchanges, as well as place homeless applicants in temporary accommodation.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Assess, process, and administer Home seeker applications in accordance with legal requirements and Council Policy.
- Handle internal transfer applications and manage the administration process.
- Oversee internal and external mutual exchange applications.
- Allocate temporary accommodation provided by internal and external sources, including arranging bed and breakfast options when necessary.
- Collaborate with the wider Housing Service, other Council departments, and external agencies to ensure the delivery of appropriate services.
- Perform additional duties as reasonably required, contributing to the team's success.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in housing services, particularly in managing Home seeker applications, transfers, and exchanges.
- Knowledge of legal requirements and Council Policies related to housing.
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on providing high-quality support.
- Ability to work effectively in partnership with other departments and external agencies.
- Flexibility to undertake a variety of tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
