Plumber – Permanent
Location: Cambridgeshire
Hours: 37.5 hours a week, Mon – Fri
- Carry out alterations and repairs throughout the Estate, using a range of piping materials, including copper and plastic for both emergency and routine repairs
- Diagnose faults and identify where replacements parts are required, order the parts through the internal stores system, and complete the process by reporting the work carried out and closing down the work order
- Responsible for replacing all types of sanitary ware including toilets, basins, showers and their associated fittings, whilst having an understanding of hot and cold water systems, and small scale heating systems
- Ensue all tasks are completed whilst adhering to relevant Health and Safety regulations and take a lead role in ensuring Health and Safety is adhered to at all times
- Work closely with the in-house stores team to provide possible alternative solutions where possible
- Complete point of work risk assessments for every task, and job specific risk assessments if needed
- Liaise with the Maintenance Unit Helpdesk on a daily basis receiving new and returning completed work orders
