**The Role
As our Finance Business Partner you'll be the financial expert driving sales and margin growth. You'll play a crucial role in shaping strategy with clear, actionable insights.
**Key Responsibilities
- Own the Commercial Finance, working directly with the operational and sales directors
- Track and report daily margin performance vs budget at product group level, with weekly performance analysis.
- Deliver sharp, insightful analysis on product and promo performance to drive margin growth, and challenge when needed.
- Scenario plan for price and margin changes, forecasting their impact on sales and margin.
- Partner with category managers to build budgets and forecasts for sales, margin, and commercial income.
- Stay ahead of margin forecasts by understanding how current trading impacts budgets.
- Support the trading team in supplier negotiations, analysing profitability and the impact of cost changes.
- Build sales and cost models
- Review and challenge commercial proposals, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Act as the go-to between teams, flagging supplier funding risks and commercial income opportunities.
**What You'll Need
- Experience in a fast-paced, commercial environment
- Sharp commercial awareness and strong numeracy skills - you'll love to dig into the details and challenge the status quo.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and deliver financial results.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Qualified or qualified by experience
