MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT - UP TO £50k HOURLY EQUIVALENT - ASAP START DATE - THAME - HYBRID
Robert Half are thrilled to be working with a fantastic business in Thame that are looking for a full-time Management Accountant to join the team ASAP, to cover sick leave, for at least 6 months offering hybrid working with 2 days onsite!
You will provide accurate and sound management reporting with the financial insight to support key decision making.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret and communicate financial data to non-financial managers, providing professional judgement and actionable advice to enhance business performance.
- Produce monthly financial statements, including Income & Expenditure accounts, variance analysis, and commentaries, within tight deadlines.
- Contribute to the annual budgeting, planning, and forecasting processes.
- Assist in providing financial support for tenders, collaborating with relevant teams to establish key assumptions for accurate costing.
- Support the Finance Manager during the year-end statutory audit by preparing detailed schedules for the statutory accounts.
- Investigate and resolve credit balances on debtor accounts, aiming for timely resolution.
- Manage bad debt issues in collaboration with Local Authorities and Divisional Directors.
- Oversee reconciliation of selected balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and proper explanation of any discrepancies.
- Assist sales ledger clerks with invoicing, cash allocation, and related queries.
Requirements:
- Previous experience of management accounting.
- Part-qualified ideal but not essential.
- Candidates must be immediately available or have a short notice period (1 week maximum).
