Your role with us

To support the planning and delivery of projects in support of the Charity's decarbonisation targets. The Charity has set ambitious and stretching environmental goals to be carbon-neutral by 2035 to meet the contractual commitments with NHSE and UK legislative requirements in public procurement tenders.

The Net Zero Project Manager is an exciting new role responsible for managing the relationship with our strategic decarbonisation consultants and contractors to support the development and delivery of our zero carbon strategy. The role is responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of decarbonisation projects and quantifiable behavioural changes throughout the Charity. This includes the control, planning, implementation and management of project work alongside the effective application of all management procedures.

Your profile

  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience in Project Management and Project Delivery, for example Prince2 qualification
  • Ability to influence, drive and deliver change
  • In-depth working knowledge and experience of Estates & Facilities roles & responsibilities
  • Ability to manage suppliers, contractors, analyse costs and evaluate numerical data
  • Understanding of the operational environment of healthcare inpatient services in a mental health setting
  • A high degree of initiative, resourcefulness, flexibility and a self-motivating, proactive approach
  • Demonstrated experience of implementing continuous improvement methodologies and projects
  • Demonstrated experience of building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively through oral and presentational skills as well as excellent writing skills
  • Ability to influence and use persuasion to promote and embed best practice
  • Ability to maintain and develop key stakeholder engagement
  • Advanced team working skills
  • Experience of using a range of I.T. packages (including Excel, Word etc)
  • Technical decarbonisation competencies and technological awareness desirable but not essential
  • Actively committed to self-development
  • Full UK driving licence required to visit our various locations
