We are now looking for a Global Logistics Specialist to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 36.25 hours per week.

The Role
As a Global Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for the logistics of transporting equipment to manage environmental catastrophes on an international scale.
Specifically, on a day-to-day basis, you will support shipments of equipment to our global projects. You will also act as the focal point during emergencies, co-ordinating logistics and transport efforts and ensuring resources reach their destinations when they are supposed to.
In addition to this, there will also be the opportunity to provide a consultancy service to our customers, ensuring that the most effective emergency response plans are in place.
Additionally, you will:
- Manage the export, import, and transport of shipments by road, sea, and air
- Develop relationships with freight forwarders and charter brokers
- Create required documentation for import and export, including dangerous goods
- Maintain shipment records, customs accounts, and ensure compliance with regulations
- Provide technical logistics support to other departments
- Conduct internal and external audits and provide consultancy services to customers
- Use MS Project to generate response time models and other logistic documentation
- Ensure operational guidelines are up-to-date and risk registers are maintained
About You
To be considered as a Global Logistics Specialist, you will need:
- Extensive experience in international freight forwarding for road, sea, and air transport
- Expertise in creating dangerous goods documentation and managing international imports and exports
- Experience of using INCOTERMS and identifying HS codes
- A bachelor's degree (or NVQ academic equivalent) in Logistics, Supply Chain or similar (operations, procurement or planning)
