I'm currently working with a key client who is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join the team.
Location - Manchester (Hybrid)
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and process end-to-end monthly payrolls (approx. 400 employees).
- Administer and reconcile pension schemes, including auto-enrolments.
- Perform HMRC payment reconciliations.
- Maintain up-to-date payroll records and ensure strict confidentiality of employee data.
- Handle manual payroll calculations when required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in payroll, either in-house or within a payroll bureau.
- In-depth understanding of current payroll legislation.
- Strong knowledge of auto-enrolment rules and pension administration.
- Demonstrable experience with statutory payments including Maternity, Adoption, Shared Parental, Paternity, and Bereavement Pay.
- Confident in performing manual calculations and resolving payroll queries.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office packages.
- Exceptional attention to detail and high standards of accuracy.
