Land Manager - Solar & Battery Storage East Midlands

Posted by Piper Maddox.

Land Manager for Utility Scale Solar & BESS - Salary up to £70,000 DOE.

Hybrid flexible working system - London office, and site visits focused on the East Midlands.

Opportunity to work within an IPP on renewable energy NSIPs.

Off the back of securing a pipeline of over 8GW of grid connections, and a number of DCO applications for renewable energy, a fast-growing international IPP is looking at further team growth in the UK.

With the current grid connection issues within the UK renewable energy market at the moment, this company's seemingly "back to front" way of securing the connections to the grid first has ensured a body of work through to 2036 with scope to add further to their portfolio. Pairing this pipeline with strong investment backing, this company offers a high level of stability while at the same time being at the forefront of the clean energy transition.

The company itself places a high value on entrepreneurial spirit in their team and being an IPP means that there is a clear line of communication through from the inception of the project all the way to the project going operational. This limits corporate red tape and means that the decision making has a strong track record of being slick and efficient.

Our client has in-house capabilities across land, planning, development, grid & design engineering, construction, and asset management. With continued growth across Europe, they are looking to add another land manager to their existing land team. You would be joining up with a collaborative and friendly team with a passion and drive for reaching our Net-Zero targets.

Your role would surround identifying suitable land and opportunities for renewable energy developments, engaging & managing landowner relationships, and taking on the commercial negotiations relating to land acquisition (HoTs, LOAs, easements, wayleaves).

With a number of projects recently coming onboard based in the East Midlands, this role will have a focus on land matters in this area of the country. As with most land roles, travel to engage with landowners and visit sites will be crucial. You would be working in a hybrid system however where this company is very flexible on meetings in the office and will work around your location when it comes to logistics.

They key to this role is experience in handling large-scale infrastructure projects, so some backgrounds that would lend themselves well to this role would be:

> Renewable Energy Land Managers already working in the sector.

> Chartered Surveyors working on behalf of major utilities/infrastructure projects.

> Land Managers with experience in working with DCO projects across multiple sectors.

This position would be perfect for you if you are looking for an environment with a great blend of autonomy and team support. You would be joining up with some of the best professionals in the renewable energy market, and a team where sharing innovations and expertise is a core pillar of their company culture.
