The client is a successful specialist contractor, with depots in Avonmouth, Cardiff, Gloucester, Stonehouse and Tewkesbury we operate predominately across the South-West of England. They specialise in Construction, Waste Management, Plant Hire, Demolition and Transport operations. They are now looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the team.
Responsibilities for the job role:
- Commercial assessment of contractor quotations for small works and major contracts
- Management of the quote process across multiple work streams working with contractors, the client and colleagues to ensure an efficient, effective and value for money service. Ensuring agreed targets are met. Monitor and manage contractors against their quotation processes
- Commercial assessment of contractor applications for payment of works (c£0-£1 mill)
- Generate Valuation Certificates for payment of works where required
- Measuring, valuation and invoicing of completed works
- Assisting with generation of cost reporting and provision of additional ad hoc reporting where required
- Provide commercial reporting and forecasting support
- Assist with tendering exercises and the re-procurement of service provision of contractors where necessary
- Arrange and lead contractor valuation audits and performance review meetings
- Providing the highest level of customer service to our clients
- Daily uploading of commercial data into our IT system
