Description
- Prepare and maintain project financial reports, including tracking project expenses, variances, and revenue recognition.
- Develop and manage project budgets, track spending, and provide forecasts to ensure projects remain on budget.
- Monitor and control project costs by reviewing purchase orders, vendor invoices, and timesheets to ensure accuracy and proper allocation.
- Participate in the month-end close process, including reconciliations, accruals, and preparing project-related journal entries.
- Review contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with financial terms and conditions.
- Investigate and explain variances between budget and actuals, providing actionable insights to project managers.
- Work closely with project managers and teams to ensure clear communication regarding project financials and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Identify financial risks and work proactively to mitigate them while ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Profile
- Experience in a similar role is preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Proficient in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate complex financial information effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Must be immediately available
- May be working towards an accountancy degree
