Head of Fundraising & Communications

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Head of Fundraising & Communications to join a charity based in East London. This pivotal role will lead our charity's strategy in income generation and brand awareness, focusing on sustainable long-term income streams and stakeholder engagement.
Day to Day of the role:
- Develop and implement a new fundraising strategy to diversify and grow income streams across corporates, individuals, trusts, and foundations.
- Oversee the fundraising & communication strategy to increase brand awareness and stakeholder engagement.
- Provide strategic leadership to the fundraising and communications team, ensuring objectives and budgets are met.
- Cultivate new opportunities and relationships with supporters to increase engagement and support fundraising strategies.
- Ensure compliance with funders and legal requirements, including Data Protection and Fundraising regulations.
- Oversee marketing and communications, building the charity's profile and increasing fundraising income.
- Collaborate with the CEO and Strategic Management Team to align fundraising efforts with organisational development plans.
- Manage departmental budgets, contracts, and resources, ensuring proper organisational expenditure.
- Lead and manage the development of team members, fostering a culture of contribution and engagement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience developing and delivering a multi-stream fundraising strategy with targets of £1m+.
- Strong strategic planning and brand management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to produce fundraising and communications strategies.
- Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Ability to provide collaborative leadership and develop professional relationships at all levels.
