Finance / Office Administrator

We are on the lookout for a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance / Office Administrator to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for managing various administrative tasks to ensure the efficient operation of our office. The successful candidate will be instrumental in enhancing overall efficiency and supporting daily operations through proficient use of computerised systems, excellent phone etiquette, and strong organisational skills.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Process customer orders, including data entry on a third-party portal, which constitutes up to a third of the working day.
- Directly liaise with customers via telephone and email to resolve any issues with deliveries or orders.
- Communicate with carriers primarily over the telephone to address any delivery issues.
- Utilise SAGE 50 for various tasks such as raising invoices and delivery notes.
- Gradually learn to produce the company's monthly Management Accounts with a high degree of accuracy. Understanding of Profit and Loss, and Balance Sheet accounting is crucial.
- Collaborate with third-party carbon-neutral consultants to understand and implement recommended policies and procedures.
- Manage our internal and external reporting and procedures to ensure continuous ISO 22000 certification.
- Perform general office tasks including answering the telephone, ordering stationery, and scanning documents.
- Order key raw materials from suppliers to ensure uninterrupted production.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a finance environment, preferably within a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in SAGE 50 accounts.
- Strong data entry skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high levels of organisation and accuracy.
