Finance Business Partner

Orka Financial is working with a multi site retail business based in High Wycombe (hybrid) to recruit a Finance Business Partner to work closely with non finance stakeholders across the business. This role is part of the companies fast-paced Commercial Finance team, this is a high-profile role positioned at the core of business operations fostering a business partnering approach to provide financial insights and support to decision making. You will play a crucial part in driving decision making across all processes, including, budgeting, forecasting, financial appraisals, identifying opportunities and challenging the business; whilst building strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse internal and external data to answer key business questions and present the findings as clear & actionable recommendations.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and risks; prepare business cases to align on the narrative with leadership and share with the business.
  • Work closely with the data team to define and guide development of function specific reporting & KPIs.
  • As a business partner you will provide value driven insights on diverse range of initiatives, including productivity, financial appraisals & competitive strategy.
  • Provide financial expertise to stakeholders in developing budgets, improve forecasting models and setting effective store targets.
  • Gather and maintain accurate record of data & stay on top of competitive intelligence; continuously enhance understanding of the landscape.
  • Independently managing workstreams; end to end ownership and accountability would be a norm in this role, attention to detail is crucial.

Profile:

  • Experience within the Retail industry is highly desirable
  • Previous Finance Business Partnering experience including building & managing relationship with cross functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong financial acumen with broad knowledge of financial analytics, performance tracking and business cases, matched with strong Excel skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with ability to influence range of stakeholders including board members.
  • Ability to navigate through complexities & drive simplicity through actions, processes & insights.
  • Excellent presentation skills. Confident to present to all levels of the management and able to tell the story through data.
  • Self-driven and motivated with confidence to take decisions and evaluate wider impact on the business.
  • Strong planning, organising and time management skills, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines.
  • A formal finance qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA), degree-level education

Salary:

£60,000 - £70,000 + bonus + benefits
