Job Title: Corporate Tax Manager

Company Overview: My client is a very well-known FMCG group who are looking to add a Corporate Tax Manager to their tax team in West London.

Position Summary: As a Corporate Tax Manager, you will play a critical role in managing their corporate tax matters. Your responsibilities will include analysing tax data, preparing returns, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:

  • Tax Compliance: Support the team by ensuring efficient and effective compliance with corporate income tax regulations. This includes handling capital allowances, transfer pricing, withholding taxes, and general tax analysis.
  • Working Papers: Prepare comprehensive working papers, assembling data into tax returns, and calculating payments accurately.
  • Data Analysis: Interrogate accounting systems, analyse outputs from various departments, and provide insights to enhance tax processes.
  • Consulting and Advisory: Engage in ad hoc consulting projects, providing expert advice on tax-related matters.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, information providers, external advisers, and revenue authorities.
  • Process Control: Contribute to process control design and testing to maintain compliance standards.
  • Broad Tax Portfolio: Our tax function covers various taxes, offering opportunities to support beyond corporate tax.

Qualifications:

  • Professional Training: ACA/ACCA training or equivalent tax qualification is essential.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles, including journal adjustments and GL reconciliations.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SAP.
  • Industry Experience: Retail industry experience is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Negotiation Skills: Able to sustain opinions and handle challenges effectively.
  • Lifelong Learning: Committed to continuous personal development.
