Role Overview:

As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of their security services across the Midlands region. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality manned guarding solutions, manage client relationships, and lead a team of security professionals. This role requires a blend of office-based work and remote management, providing you with flexibility while maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee and manage the deployment of security personnel across various sectors, ensuring all contracts are fulfilled to the highest standards.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of security officers, supervisors, and site managers to maintain high performance and morale.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their security needs and ensuring service delivery meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure all operations comply with industry regulations, company policies, and client requirements. Conduct regular audits and assessments.
  • Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources, manage schedules, and ensure adequate staffing levels across all sites.
  • Incident Management: Respond to and manage any incidents or emergencies, ensuring a swift and effective resolution.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, client satisfaction, and other key metrics to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in an operations management role within the security industry, with a focus on manned guarding services.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, with a track record of maintaining high standards in service delivery.
  • Client-Focused: Strong client management skills, with the ability to understand and respond to client needs effectively.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Thorough understanding of security industry regulations and standards, with experience in ensuring compliance.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and manage incidents efficiently.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work both from an office and remotely, with travel as required to various sites across the Midlands.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
